• January 15, 2012 - First day to accept early voting request for primary election. (Neb. Rev. Stat. § 32-941: 120 days prior to election).
• Feburary 15, 2012 - Incumbent filing deadline. (Neb. Rev. Stat. § 32-606).
• March 1, 2012 - Non-Incumbent Filing deadline. (Neb. Rev. Stat. § 32-606). Deadline for Political Subdivision to submit special issue for primary ballot. (Neb. Rev. Stat. § 32-559).
• April 9, 2012 - Early Voting starts. (Neb. Rev. Stat. § 32-808: 35 days prior to election).
• April 14, 2012 - Democratic Party Caucus - 9:00 a.m. at the Carpenter Center, 116 Terry Blvd, Gering, NE 69341.
• April 27, 2012 - Last day voter registrations can be accepted by DMV. Postmark deadline for mailed in voter registrations. (Neb. Rev. Stat. § 32-321 & 32-308: 3rd Friday before next election).
• May 4, 2012 - Last day for in person voter registration or changes to existing registrations. Election Office open until 6:00 p.m.
• May 9, 2012 - 4:00 p.m. Deadline to accept request for early ballots to be mailed to a specific address. (Neb. Rev. Stat. § 32-941: Wednesday preceding the election).
• May 9, 2012 - 6:30 p.m. Election training for poll workers (Commissioners Room).
• May 10, 2012 - 2:00 p.m. Election training for poll workers (Commissioners Room).
• May 15, 2012 - 7:00 p.m. Deadline for agent to pick up early voting ballot. (Neb. Rev. Stat. § 32-943). 8:00 p.m. Deadline for return in person of early voting ballot. (Neb. Rev. Stat. § 32-950).
