Scotts Bluff County Highway Department
The Highway Department constructs and maintains all county roads, bridges and signs. We do snow removal and ice control during winter months. We also apply for and administrate Federal funds for highway capital improvements.

Requests for Service on Non-County highways...
We only have jusrisdiction of 810 miles of County gravel roads and 160 miles of County paved roads, the balance of roads in the County may be State of Nebraska, City or Village roads.
Why do you pull up shoulders of gravel roads?
We pull up gravel which has rolled down slopes and kill weeds which can become snow traps.
How often are dirt roads graveled?
Every 2 to 5 years depending on traffic.
